To be called Savon de Marseille soap must be 100% vegetable oil, with a minimum of 72% fine (olive) oil. Whereas traditional manufacturing of Marseille soap was abandoned everywhere else, in Salon-de-Provence, Rampal Latour have committed themselves to authentic Marseille soap manufacturing using working copper cauldrons according to the rule book.
